Came here for a family outing for a celebratory lunch, and I'll have to say that I was very happy with the way everything turned out. Shrimp Fried Rice 5/5 - This dish reminded me of one of my favorite childhood fried rice dish called 蝦人炒飯 or just simply shrimp fried rice and I was brought back good memories. I loved how everything tasted and it was not super salty. Stir Fry Egg 5/5 - I don't know what this dish was called but it was really good. It tasted like it had sha cha sauce cooked into it and the eggs were not over cooked and had great flavor. Vegetable Squash Dumpling 3/5 - I also don't know the exact name of this dish but it had squash in it. It's good for vegan eaters and I have no hate on it but I would not choose it again due to lack of flavor. Walnut Shrimp 4/5 - This dish was also very delectable. This place did not skimp out on the amount of shrimp they gave you and if you're craving this, I would definitely recommend. Scallion Pancake 4/5 - Love the scallion pancake as it is a staple taiwanese dish. Can't go wrong with it and was good for appetizer. Bread with condensed milk 4/5 - I forgot what the name of this dish was in english but this was also a good dish to end off a meal with. Nicely sweet and good baked bread. Shumai 5/5 - This shumai was really good since they had little piece of shrimp on top of each dumpling. It was packed with flavor and I had no complaints with it. I would order this again. Overall service was pretty attentive as well. Parking was really easy to find. One thing to note was that we had ordered another dumpling and it came out not fully cooked so be careful with that. Ultimately, I would definitely come back here again when I'm craving home style taiwanese food. I definitely recommend this place!

The food was sooooo good. The prices were pretty typical but I think the quay and yumminess of the food gives this place five stars. The interior is really spacious so they can accommodate large parties. We got the shrimp dumplings, stewed pork with baos, basil eggplant, and the sour cabbage meatball soup. Everything was so delicious. The food is super authentic and comforting. YUM

No wait on a Sunday evening around 7pm for my party of 6. Food came out pretty quickly. Juicy pork dumplings and shrimp and loofah dumplings were both pretty good! Bigger in size compared to Din Tai Fung's. I'm usually not the biggest bitter melon fan, but I liked the bitter melon with salted egg. My favorite dish was the matsuzaka meat with garlic sauce. It was tender, fatty, and the sauce was so flavorful. I was ok about the house special taro squid rice noodles pot, but this was just a personal preference since I'm generally not a fan of most of the ingredients inside. The deep fried sweet Chinese buns with condensed milk were delicious!

Stopped by on a Sunday for brunch with my boyfriend and we had a pretty decent experience here. Service is quick and there's plenty of seatings. Menu is also extensively with a good section for vegetarian eaters. We decided to come to Joy Dumpling bc we're always on the hunt for some good xlb. We decided to order juicy dumplings (xiao long bao), shrimp shu mai, sliced beef shank, braised beef noodle soup, and garlic string beans. Everything came out quick and delicious. The star of the show is really the beef noodle soup. I would definitely return just for this item.
